I figured if there were any sort of chemicals on it, licking and sniffing it would be the best way to find out before purchasing it. The things i suffer for my shrimp....

No regrets thus far, as everyone in the tanks with sponges is still doing ok.

Ahhh...others (non-shrimp people) just won't understand. The 'Indian zebra' shrimp is classified as a Caridina cf. babaulti on this site, same lumped species group as the green. Does anyone know if this is correct? Also, does anyone know the locality within India that these shrimp are coming from?
