Aren't blue shrimps blue in color once they're born or when they're grown-ups? By the way, the Taiwan writer says that the cherries are given special food to enhance their red color. Besides, a photo in the book shows that the cherries are selected by workers before they enter the marekt. Dozens of...

Yes that is a good question! Does the book mention a way to come in contact with the author? I wouldn't doubt that he knows the answer.

Yeah I was thinking they had to use nets. Those nets must be really fine though so that shrimplets and adult shrimp aren't sucked up.

They do sound and look like the "blue" Neocardina sp. on the Shrimp Varieties page. Anyways, they are very cool and those are nice pictures. Congrats on the berried female, though it is a shame that the blue pigmentation is not genetic :(

Not sure whether they are a cross. But those shrimplets are really cute :) IF they are just born though, then you have great photographing skills ;)

Yes thank you very much for that! I think that by "under-ground water" they mean well water, which makes sense because it does not need any special treatment (i.e dechlorination). And these "giant pumps" must be water pumps that pump well water into the pond and are also used for...

Thanks for sharing this. That is so cool. I wish I had a shrimp pond. And like NeonShrimp said I am interested in how they filter a pond without harming the shrimp (giant sponge filter? )

Very nice, I like *Borat accent* Cool shrimp wood. I know what you mean about CRS 'being everywhere' though they are not to be found locally in Miami, FL or most of the continental U.S. It appears that everyone in the hobby has them now and are buying from Japan. On the other hand shrimp such as Tig...
