Hi Lori, Usually, shrimp are unaffected by fish diseases. I have not seen or heard of a single incident that would indicate that shrimp got infected by fish pathogens. Having said that, there seem to be Mycobacteria that infect Macrobrachium spp. and some marine shrimp. However, I really doubt that...

I had Mycobacterium in my Show Bettas. My Shirmp may have been exposed through my water buckets. CAN shrimp carry Mycos? I only have about 10 shrimp or so, and they haven't berried for some time now. I have thought about something simular to that with my betta eggs (if I get an egg eater daddy), and when my shrimp were dropping their eggs. My shrimp are happily reproducing on their own now, but I will keep your method in mind if I ever need to do it!

Good luck with her still carrying. I had every young female in my tank drop their eggs. It was so disappointing, but now I have lots of little babies and more waiting to hatch! It is so cool to see those little buggers running around!!!!

Welcome Moss Ball! I agree with the more tanks thing! I started out with a 6g eclipse type from Walmart, then got a 10g RCS tank, then I got a 55g, then I got another 10g, and I am just a few months from getting a 150g. I hope to be able to stop after the 150g! LOL!!! I am addicted!!!

I have baby shrimp!!! Saw 2 of them this morning!!!

Hey guys! I now have 5 or 6 berried female RCS.

And now today in my 55g I find 2 female Ghost Shrimp that are Berried! I am not even trying to breed those! They are just kinda cool looking! WOW!

Make that 3 berried! I am on a roll now!

This will be my last entry...looking forward to starting a new thread when the babies get here!
