Re: Bumblebee baby update

Update on the baby bumblebees. There are about 12 that I can count at any given time. There is moss and other places for them to hide so maybe there will be more coming out of hiding. Not a lot compared to some of the other shrimp, but I am happy to be seeing any of them. :D

Re: Westwood's Gallery

Hi Westwood, Thanks for sharing your pictures. Do you still have the shrimp? Sounds like the price has gone up substantially on them.

Re: adimeatatime's Gallery

I hear you Newjohn. I had family difficulties last summer and it takes time to get everything back on track. I have finally gotten my tanks back into better shape now. All of this on top of being pretty new at shrimp. My poor shrimp. Anyway, glad to hear your shrimp are doing better.

Re: adimeatatime's Gallery

I have a Berried Female now. :D That is great news!!! I have been having a little bad luck lately. What is going on in your tanks? It can be heartbreaking at times. Anyone have any insight into this? Seems like the baby bumblebees hide more and better than other shrimp babies I have. The only ones ...

Re: Finally

Thanks for the pictures. I know it is time consuming to try and get them. The Sri Lanka shrimp is fast becoming one of my favorites. The berried females are so colorful. Really pretty.

[quote="Mustafa"]Very nice pictures! Thanks Mustafah. I have had fun taking the pictures. Thank you for the ID and the information on the "black midget". I got lucky with them and got both males and females and I already have some babies. They are really pretty shrimp and the bab...

Re: Bee/Bumblebee/New Bee ?

Thanks Neonshrimp!! I really enjoy watching my shrimp and getting pictures of them. I placed a couple of pictures of the baby bumblebees in my gallery. Thought it would be good to keep them all together.

Re: adimeatatime's Gallery

Hi Neonshrimp,

None of my "black midgets" are black. They are red and one is grayish. Not sure how they came up with that name.

A few more pictures. It is amazing what having the right lens can do for your pictures. Even just using the programed options.

Re: Bumblebee

Hi Neonshrimp, The white on the babies is really striking like the white on the 3rd shrimp in the varieties section on Bumblebees. They look like little brown/white candy canes scooting around. I will try to get a decent picture. Last night there were 2 of them out looking for food. :-D The adults a...

Hi Newjohn, How is your baby Sri Lanka doing? Have you seen any more of them? The females are gorgeous when they are berried, IMO.

Re: Bee/Bumblebee/New Bee ?

Those are some great bumblebees! :) This is the "original bumblebee" that was introduced into the hobby a while ago. Thanks Mustafa. I think they are pretty shrimp and enjoy watching them. They seem to be doing well right now. I had been looking at TDS meters, but haven't ordered one yet....

Your "grassy field" looks neat. I bet your shrimp like it! Your tank is really pretty. Thanks for sharing.
