M Rosenbergii is fished in our rivers as a local delicacy. Dont worry, they have natural protection in the form of the crocodile. :)

It looks similar to the 'udang galah' in Sarawak rivers. It may grow to 12 inches (pincers included) and loves river bank caves.

I need to check out the scientific name but this is not a shrimp we would keep in our tanks.

Thx for the comments. Will specific food help bring more intense color? I am beginning to see some color on the fries that are about 1.5cm in size.

Hi, I have some of the most deepest red cherry shrimps but for some reasons their fries are not nearly close to the parents. I only have Cherry and Yamato in my tank.
