Forum is a place for everyone to speak from their own experience based on what they have witness from their tank. Personally i think that Yamato chew up all my erract moss faster then it grow in my tank and they are the number 1 scavenger in my community tank.

Where exactly did you catch them in south east asia? There are so many shrimp species there, you should count yourself lucky that you live there....hehe :D

Guess what shrimp

Guess what shrimps these are. They are tiny shrimps of less then 2cm big and the size of eggs are like what neocaridina have.

There are many shrimps out there and this may not be a popular choice as a aquarium shrimp.

Zhou Hang is a respectable serious hobbylist who has travelled around Asia collecting fish/shrimp speciment and took good pictures of them for record.
It is good to have him to work with experts or prof to sort out the common name given by the local people with scientific name.

In our part of world, some call it a 'rainbow shrimp' because it can appear in different color depending on the water conditions. It is the cheapest algae eating shimp that i can find in my country, 100 pieces for USD$5
