my personal fave is the crystal red, altho i've never owned any. i like them cuz of the red and white stripes. unfortunately, they're very hard to get where i am. i personally raise yamato and tiger shrimp... no luck with breeding yet tho. the other shrimp i've seen in the lfs are cherries, rainbows...

if u want maximum chances of survival, go with a shrimp only tank. fish will eat anything, esp if it's live. if u have plenty of hiding spaces (eg. java moss) and u don't mind losing a few to keep the population in check, fish are ok.

if u're talking about the Hagen Natural Plant CO2 system with the ladder-type diffusor, it should do fine on a 20G. i'm using one and my shrimp do just fine.

shrimp in a heated environment

anyone know if shrimp (any variety) are more likely to breed if they experience the seasons? for example, if i left an unheated shrimp only tank with plants alone and fed on a regular basis, will this induce mating behavior more or less?
