Make sure your tank has enough calcium and iodine. How do we check that we HAVE enough calcium or iodine in the tank? 1. Snails? 2. How often the shrimps molt? I wondered why my shrimps were not molting for weeks now... So i decided to add a seasell in the tank... Looks like it kinda worked... Coz ...

Hmm

Have you had any snails in the tank? Some people say it is a good indicator of ur calcicum level in your tank. A dark shell is supposed to represent enuff calcium while and near transparent one represents poor calcium... Although I would personally not reccommend you to actually introduce snails... ...

About calcium... Is there any other way to increase the calcium in the tank?

Other than crushed coral?

I have seen my RCS molting b4 and the snails in my tank haf dark coloured shells.. Is the a good sign tt calcium is abundant in the tank?

I now feed my shrimps more... And they seem all that restless... Swimming about and constantly eating i hope. :)

I keep track if there is any decaying food. I'll make sure tt does not happen.

Hmm... The Milwaukee pH meter IS very tempting...
Saves some time and it's convenient, isn't it...

But than again... I'm just a poor student... So i guess i'll jus go get a testing kit jus like alikhanweb.

Hmm...

How do you guys test for the PH value??

Heard that there are test strips available for testing the water and more expensive guages that are put into the tank.... Wonders if these guages are worth te investment...

Wow! That was a fast reply! Woot... Thankz... Guess i need to go lightning next... Hmm... Wonder how much wattage is enough... I'm currently using 20 watts... I'm going for more! But hope that there is lightning out there within my bugdet.

I have both requirements met... but than... I don't see any algae growing.. Is light also a factor?
