Red Cherry Shrimp Egg Question
Do the Red Cherry Shrimp Females gaurd the eggs after they have laid them? Do they typically lay in them in a hard-to-find spot?

Got this shot of an Egg-carrying Red Cherry Shrimp. How long before I can see baby-shrimp? Yesterday was the first time I spotted this female.

Red Cherry Shrimp Mystery
I have a 10G tank with around 15 Red Cherry Shrimp. The mystery is that my red cherry shrimp population is gradually increasing but I can't spot any egg carrying females. I see females that are intensely red with a almost white backline but I can't spot any eggs. I count the young shrimp and that nu...

These are my shrimp. No, I didn't get them from Azgardens. In the first picture with the sweet potato (they LOVE sweet potato, but don't care for spinach contrary to other reports I've read), the big one is my Crystal Red Bee shrimp and the other ones are Cherry Shrimp. Really nice pictures. When y...

Re: Hmm...
How do you guys test for the PH value?? Heard that there are test strips available for testing the water and more expensive guages that are put into the tank.... Wonders if these guages are worth te investment... I just use the regular, old fashioned testing kit. I would like the electronic guage t...

Incorrect. Neocaridina denticulata sinensis have a very wide PH range. I keep mine at 7.6 PH and they are happily prducing hundreds of young shrimp for me each month (but then...I do give them literally *perfect* conditions). Good to know. Having no algae in the tank should still promote breeding, ...

Grow Algae
Mustafa,
How do you grow algae on the side to feed your shrimp? I have heard of many ways but am always curious.

Alikhan(?), May I ask where your petstore is located? I have also been trying to get a breeding population of these shrimp going and need more shrimp. False alarm. I re-checked yesterday with the store and they said that they gave me the wrong information. They got something which they are sure is ...

pH for Red Cherry Shrimp
I have heard that the recommended pH for Red Cherry Shrimp is between 6.8 and 7.0. Is this correct?
Also, is it possible to obtain dried beech or oak leaves in the summer. Where would I even begin to check? Darn, I should've thought about it past Fall.

Re: Wow!
My only concern with overfeeding would be the quality of the water. If you overfeed and the Red Cherry Shrimp don't eat all of it, food will decay, produce ammonia and make an unhealthy environment.Starringme wrote:2. Is it possible to overfeed the RCS?

My petstore just got some. How tough are these guys to breed? Are they very sensitive like Crystal Reds or are they more resilient to environmental changes.
Appreciate any feedback.
This forum is awesome, I have been looking for this for a long time.
