Re: shrimp without legs!!
I would have wondered, where I would have got those parasites, anyway. You are right, I will see in the next days, maybe weeks, how many shrimp will survive. I'll try my best not to overdo my "helping activities". I supposed it was "exuviae", now I know for sure.. THANK YOU ALL fo...

Re: shrimp without legs!!
and I learned those 2 words: molts/exoskeletons :D (since english isn't my mother tongue..) Yesterday I did set up a new tank and transfered a part of the shrimp there. I also did a big water change in the old tank, since I didn´t know, which option was better. I also lifted all the rocks and looked...

Re: shrimp without legs!!
thanks again for all your help! I did a big water change (as big as possible), removed dead shrimp (and lots of excuviaes), removed the filter but still have the active carbon inside. I will take your advice and now just watch them and try not to disturb them with any more water changes. I tested th...

Re: shrimp without legs!!
Thanks for your advices. I bought seawater at a local store (mixed to the right level) and changed as much water as possible. I also used a new filter and activated carbon. But the damage is big. Nearly all the shrimp molded during the last days. Most of them are harmed, having no antennae or short ...

Re: Question about Opae internal color--black/white?
hi, I read, that the sexes are distinguished by looking at the first and second pleopod endopodites, which is difficult, because they´re so small.... I have also some opae´ulas with dark redish thoraxes, and - as you described - some with black or white ones....don´t know what it means. liebe Grüße,...

Re: halocaradina rubra/ opae ula breeding
hi, there i´m still not an opae´ula expert, but I think, that temperature variations are good, because in nature, especially in shallow water, the temperature also varies. my opae´ulas live at room temperature and I think, they are doing fine. I admit, that in summer I tried to cool the water with i...

Halocaridina rubra - Lava rocks
Hello, I am new in this forum (but I´ve been reading some topics about halocaridina rubra for a while), so please excuse, if I make some mistakes (also in spelling). So, my question: Can lava rocks content heavy metal and so pollute the water? I saw many pictures with tanks, that contend halocaridin...
