I just purchased a breeding pair with berries, haven't received them yet (they will be shipped on Monday).

I will have to keep you up-to-date on how everything works out, the good with the bad... I sure hope that I have luck with these pretty shrimp. Keep your fingers crossed.

I have been searching and reading this forum for 2 days now and cannot locate where I might find what chemicals are safe for use in Shrimp tanks, i.e. to lower ph, to lower ph, to lower amonia... well, you get the idea. (Try doing a search on lower ph or ph, alot of talk about lowering ...

How do you keep the water from going stagnant? Ammonia levels?

My guppy tank has a small lobster (guess you can call it a cray) and he stands on top of the sponge, but I have yet to see him pick at it. I'll keep watching him and let you know.

I purchased my sponge from the paint section in Walmart, I had to cut it to size because it was too big.

When I brought it home I rinsed it out under our well water. I placed it in my guppy tank for one week and then placed it into my shrimp tank - they loved it!! The sponge did not ...
