Baby Cherry Shrimp...

A lot of people use sponge filters. You can also use a hang on back power filter if you use a sponge of some type to prevent the shrimp from being pulled into the filter.

The ingredients list on Wardley's Premium Algae Discs lists Copper Sulfate. I contacted their corporate HQ and was told " there is not enough copper sulphate in the Algae Discs to harm the shrimp as long as they are not overfed." Are these algae discs dangerous to my shrimp?

The filter is an Aquaclear Mini adjusted to its lowest flow settting. The carbon was not used with only the sponge in place for biological filtration. The intake is shrimp-proof to the point that I was worried about restricting the flow too much but it has not been a problem so far.

This tank is currently home to 3 juvenile cherry shimp. Would it be overcrowding things to add 2 crystal red shrimp?
