Re: A year later and no babies.

Yes, the shrimp seem to enjoy hiding places, possibly for breeding, but also possibly for simply getting out of the overhead aquarium light when they so desire. Speaking of that, do you use an aquarium light? It's not apparent from your tank photo. A quality aquarium light can improve the overall he...

Re: New article about "brackish tolerant plants"

Here are some updated photos of the tank that was being discussed earlier. It shared nothing with my previous tank (which had the plant growing in it) other than a little water as a result of netting and transferring the animals... Re: Algae Growing on Shrimp

Are you able to provide an up-close photo of one (or more) of the shrimp with algae seeming to grow on it? May just be inadvertently getting stuck on them as they cruise around doing their thing. Should eventually just fall off as they move around. I've witnessed that sort of thing with my shrimp. B...

Re: Mold on lid...

Hello fellow Ecosphere Shrimp Releaser! Same way I got started with this hobby: http://www.petshrimp.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=5199 The mold on your lid shouldn't be an issue especially since the shrimp won't be coming in direct contact with lid (correct?). Please post photo(s) of you...

Re: Can we prevent hair algae and hydroids in the first place?

I have (or potentially could have) lots of hair algae growing in my tank. I have one of those long aquarium tweezers, and I simply pull that stuff out of there from time to time (not very often at all) to keep it under control. No issues whatsoever doing nothing but that manual "landscaping&quo...

New (sort of) Tank

I started this tank a bit ago (June 2015), but never posted it on the forum until now. So, not a "new" tank necessarily, but simply new to the forum. Why did this particular tank's big reveal take so long to roll out? Merely a case of extreme procrastination. I began positing on Petshrimp ...
