Welcome to the forums!
I am by no means the authority on all things Supershrimp...I'm relatively a newbie myself BUT I have owned four Ecospheres myself and I've freed all four so I can tell you a little bit about my experiences.
I tested the water in my Ecospheres, at least three of them if not ...

Re: First Berried Shrimp!
Just noticed ANOTHER berried shrimp. So I have three berried right now. The would-be fourth berried shrimp hatched her little guys last week and they are bobbing around the water still. I'm amazed that this little one gallon tank has that many berried shrimp. I imagine I'll have some 80 shrimp in ...

Re: First Berried Shrimp!
Yesterday I noticed one tiny baby shrimp bobbing up and down. This morning I can see at least eight new baby shrimp. Very cool!

Re: First Berried Shrimp!
Hey Rob!
You aren't kidding...I looked in today and saw a THIRD berried shrimp! At first I thought maybe it was one of the other two but then I saw that all three of them were hanging out on the lava rock together all berried. Wow! This is a small 1 gallon tank and it already has some 30-40 shrimp ...

Re: First Berried Shrimp!
Thanks everyone! Will do! I saw her this morning feeding and all looks well. I don't stare into that tank up close too often so it makes me wonder how long she's had those eggs.

First Berried Shrimp!
Well this is a crazy story here! Today I looked into my one gallon office aquarium and noticed a berried female. I noticed her because she was darting around frantically as other shrimp got near her. At first I thought she had a snail stuck to her and was trying to fling it off but I took out my ...

Re: Mixing Ecosphere and Tank
I think so. I accidentally put the magnet in one or both of mine and no problems.
Glad it worked out for you!

Re: Mixing Ecosphere and Tank
No problem!
I'm not sure if 1 gallon is big enough to prevent issues with potentially bad Ecosphere water. The small Ecosphere is tiny so my guess would be that you're okay but I'm certainly no professional in this matter. I only know from a little bit of experience. I'd try and figure out the age ...

Re: Mixing Ecosphere and Tank
Hi sabbylina!
I had two small pods and two large spheres from Ecosphere that I transferred into two different tanks. It's not too hard to do. Removing the plug is pretty simple...you just grab a knife and start digging up that hot glue or whatever the adhesive is until you can finally pry open the ...

Re: Three Ecospheres Into One Tank?
Here's a question...should our tanks not have a "normal" pH level since they are brackish water? I'm new to aquariums so I don't know a whole lot but since the saltwater API test only comes with a high range pH test that would seem to indicate that adding salt bumps up the pH levels. I tested some ...

Re: Three Ecospheres Into One Tank?
Thanks Mustafa!
I also wanted to post something on here for reference...I use the API Freshwater Master Kit for my testing. They also make a Saltwater Master Kit. It appears that the Freshwater Kit is the same as the Saltwater kit with some minor exceptions:
1: The Freshwater Kit comes with the ...

Sorry...I couldn't rest until I found one of those posts. Haha. Here's one:

Re: New tank checklist
I've seen Mustafa say in several places that the snails he sells don't lay eggs but are livebearing. I tired some searches to reference his posts but I didn't come up with anything. It's on here somewhere though.
