Re: High Grade CRS x Bumble bee
Im pretty sure i wrote in my knowledge and not my experience. Anyways, it seems like you are actually running away from the fact that inbreeding can actually harm even invertebrates. The fact that crystals have different coloration and patterns are proofs that crystals already highly inbred. Introdu...

Re: RCS expanding too fast...
They wouldnt really suddenly crash but if too much inbreeding occurs and they become overpopulated, you will that some of the next generation adults will be stunted. This is nonsense. Inbreeding does absolutely nothing to shrimp populations. I would recommend doing some research before giving advic...

Re: What Shrimp are these?
"Wild color" does not mean "wild shrimp." Having caught and imported wild Neocaridina spp. myself, I can tell you that there is no "genuine wild type" as you say. There is a lot of variation even within a single species. The above shrimp are clearly wild-color...no mat...

Re: Grade A CBS and Cherry Shrimps
Good job on the RCS. :) I don't want to rain on your parade, but wait and see if you can actually breed normal CRS or Tiger shrimp before you start planning on crossing all kinds of shrimp. You'll quickly find out that breeding shrimp on a regular basis is not as easy as it may appear sometimes. I ...

As long as I can help you. I find quite most of the american forums for crystals, taiwan bees and tigers are quite lacking so I am also trying to pitch in my knowledge as much as I can.

Re: Getting ready for Blue Jellies
Hi I'm in the UK and in the process of setting up my first 2 shrimp specific tanks; the first one is 28 litres it has a sand substrate and is planted, it's matured pretty quickly (so I'm super excited) I'm just waiting for my next water change then I'll order my blue jellies. From empty tank to shr...

Re: High Grade CRS x Bumble bee
Thanks, will wait for a week or two and see what happens. Quality and health of the shrimp also plays a big role in terms of the shrimp coloration. While you can strengthen the health of the CRS by crossing it back to its wild counter part (which is not bumblebee but orange bee or black bee) you ca...

Re: Getting ready for Blue Jellies
Add some pictures when the blue jellies arrive. Food, any quality fish food is adequate. Buy the smallest amount available. It will stay fresh that way. If you have cash to burn the specility foods work. Not sure these are really game changers. Adding a oak leaf or mulberry leaf or a leaf from your...

Re: What Shrimp are these?
These are very low quality cherries Nah...nothing to do with quality. They are some type of wild-colored Neocaridina sp. Hmmm. Well what i'm sure about it is it's not a genuine wild-type but some mixed Neocaridina which makes the offspring muddy color or brown color. Also mustafa, have you tried mi...

Hi! I am currently planning to breed mischlings. Jumping directly to CRS SS with a high pH like that is a big no-no. You can try neos or if you have kept tanks before even sulawesi shrimps will work for you but keep in mind they need a constant temp around 80 degrees. No matter what they say about" sulawesi shrimps are hard to keep" i ca...

You can feed white pellets everyday you know. They really help alot when shrimps molt. I have been feeding my shrimps a variety of food and so far no RCS has died on me yet.

Re: Shrimp from the Mekong River?
You should try tiger shrimp. As they are hard to find, with enough moss the fishes should ignore them. But if they were to breed it will be unavoidable for some of the babies to be eaten by the fishes. I would say that you start with a couple of shrimps first and see if your fish will just ignore th...
