Australian Shrimp ID

Hi Guys, In amongst an order of C. Longistrostris and C. Gracilirostris, I was also given (on purpose) a third species which we havn't yet identified. can anyone help us out? It was collected somewhere in Australias Norther Territory and seems to be happy in 26ºC. http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/...

i agree. the light is a home made hood that has a 13 watt screw in CF bulb so the plants have enough light to go a bit nuts which can only be good for the shrimp :) . the water in our area is pretty soft (~1º GH) i was thinking that the shrimp might appreciate a little more Ca in their water to buil...

yeah i know. the melbourne aquarium has one on display at the moment AND ITS A MONSTER! carapace length of at least 35cm. huge dangerous looking claws, and spines sticking out everywhere. this one has a little bit of that diatomical algae growing on his shell which i reckon looks fantasic. i'll grab...

shes probably about 6 or 7 centimeters long, not including her big arms. i picked the smallest one in the tank when i bought her, hopning that i could watch her moult and grow bigger. anyone know how long these creatures live for?
