RCS water changes
Hello still having problems with the adults on water changes. Since my last post a lot of baby shrimps are growing in the tank but every water change I get about 2 dying in the following days that means my very redder adults are being lost. The young ones seem fine, I just wanted the more red ones t...

Re: From Saddle to Berried how long
I don't know I use a seneye to track the most important parameters but don't have anything to test to that extent. I have seen 2 more berried making 3 now. Maybe it was the chlorine and chloramines not mixing in the bucket first. It's not as easy as doing it straight back along the pipe but will try...

Re: Dwarf Gourami & RCS
I'll give them a miss then, still trying to make things right for the shrimp as it is.

Re: From Saddle to Berried how long
Hello, I lost the one with green eggs after a water change and another non berried red one, after some reading I am going to revise my water changes. I am changing about 20% every week, I am using cold water only but I didn't get it up to temperature so it dropped from about 26 degrees to 22 which i...

Dwarf Gourami & RCS
Another question for you with experience, I have read mixed reports about Dwarf Gourami and RCS, some that they have basically hunted every shrimp in the tank adult and younger and eaten them and others where they are not even bothered. At the moment as my other posts have shown I have a happy tank ...

Yes that's what I am hoping that I can have enough survive to have a functioning self-sustaining colony.

Re: From Saddle to Berried how long
Well a little excited today seen my first berried shrimp, so hope that the moss and tubes can give enough protection for them to hide in so some can grow to a large enough size to be safe in the open tank.

From Saddle to Berried how long
Hello can I ask how long it takes from a female being saddled to being berried? I have been happy to see some saddled females at last and have read that they have a moult and then release pheromones to attract males to then mate and then they will get berried is this correct? I also have read that t...

Re: RCS and Tetra's
Hello I am a newbie I accept, however I have been very careful with the fish I have selected, as I wanted a very peaceful tank of fish and shrimp. I have RCS with cardinal tetras and have had no problems with the medium to adult shrimp, as i have no babies yet I can't vouch for them and would imagin...

Re: Red Cherry Shrimp found dead
Thanks for the reply, I agree the young shrimp have a bit of hiding in the moss not had any berried yet but seen a few females with saddles. I have added some tubes you can't see at the back of the driftwood, the shrimp seem comfortable and brave to the level of stupidity. To give the fish a bit of ...
