Re: 11 months in and still no babies
My tank went through more than a year without babies due to too much nutrient in the tank, once that was gone, breeding has been steady.

Re: Where to buy in Canada
Oh that's surprising to hear. I wish Mustafa shipped there (close neighbors, right ), cus buying through him is really the best way to start responsibly owning/raising opae ula.
Hope you find a solution to this!

Re: Supershrimp mossball reproduction
Definitely so! :) Congrats! A bit of update from my tank as well: Since I took out the half eaten moss ball out of tank A to tank B, it's been doing better. Funny enough, after a month or so, more and more visible tiny offspring of the moss ball started showing up in tank A (perhaps 8+). It made me ...

Wow, very cool. Genetic mutant maybe? This is the first time I've seen yellow opae ula.

Good idea! A clean wash cloth would be even better.

Re: Hello Im New and would love your advice :)
I wouldn’t worry too much as long as all visible remnants are take out. How big is your tank again? The bigger it is the less impact the play dough has. As long as your cycle finishes (algae!) the shrimp will be okay.

Re: Supershrimp mossball reproduction
Thanks Malikta for the pic! That’s a baby mossball alright  So I had another observation on the mossballs. The second one I got from Mustafa is doing really well in my second tank, many smaller balls already established after a few months. It looks more coarse than the first ball (that is still...

Re: Supershrimp mossball reproduction
I took an after picture (3-4 posts below), but I have to find the before one. I suspected it was eaten because in the course of a few days it was half way chomped down. Now in the new tank it's growing back bit by bit.

If it’s clear like rest of the water, most likely it’s the salt water.

Re: New Setup: Plants Question
If you end up experimenting, please update this thread! I’ll be very interested in the long term (1-2 year) results: such as reproduction stat in both shrimp and plants.

Re: Old Shells? Decor? "wet run"
sorry the previous user was a little harsh :p I happen to agree with Nellyville41, this is a bit much. I was just too polite to say it, so thanks for speaking my mind. I don't feel there is judgment on this forum, but I go through the threads (do a simple keyword search) to make sure my questions w...

Yeah I'm not sure, the adult snails didn't bother with the mossball.

Re: Lots of questions
I know all too well that innate urge to feed these guys, I think it’s only natural. You just gotta trust your better sense and when in doubt do not feed, lol.
