You could try drop some fish food in there to promote algae growth.

Could you please tell us what substrate and decor you have? Do you have drift wood in there?

So far I counted 4 berried shrimp already. The first larvae are being released over a few days. It's amazing!

They’re great! Active but calm. I already spotted 2 berried shrimp. That’s light speed for me. Considering I waited 1.5 year and 1 year for the first berried shrimp in two other tanks. Hopefully I get a good pic soon.

I think by the time a second bowl is cycled, your bowl with the shrimp and snail would be cycled as well.

Thanks for asking! Actually there are a lot more algae on the tank wall now, still not that much on the rock. If it ends up obstructing the view, I'll put "borrow" a nerite snail from another tank.

Wonderful news! That was a nice pic of the molt. Have you noticed more molts? It seems that they shed whenever they get disrupted, so at the end of a trip would warrant some molts!

The algae looks okay to me, very pretty too. Water looks clear which is good too. Does the water smell? Try no feeding, as the access nutrient prompts algae growth as well.

My shrimp have arrived!!! :D They all huddled around the yarn when I first saw them. I cut an opening in the bag and dumped everything in the tank. Some started swimming around right away, while some clung to the yarn. When all but one shrimp left the yarn, I took it out with a tweezer. (By the way ...
