lol i breed tank bred opae ula and they are dark red like this so yes they can be tank bred at home and not just wild caught. Without proof they are wild bred its still a wild accusation to say the least.

The Chaetomorpha sold here isn't the same as the one used in reef tanks, so I'd be careful about equating them. lol i tried telling people that they are fine in opae tanks but we keep being told not too, im glad i found someone that agrees.

i have Marimo balls in my opae ula tank and they are doing fine with no issues, bit of miss information about them not for brackish tanks (no evidence to show you shouldn't). There is no harm leaving them in unless you see them going bad.
