I'm so excited that my upgraded tank is up and running! Thanks to those of you who gave advice on the weird stringy slime I had in the first week or so after initial setup. As you predicted - it went away after about a day. I added rocks and coral, and ~1 week later had some good algae growth going ...

I can't even seem to really touch it - it just disintegrates. I'm waiting a few more weeks anyways to cycle and get good algae going before I add shrimps, so I'll wait and see. Hopefully it will also go away on its own. Thank you!

Thanks all! As those weird larvae became bigger, it was super apparent that they were mosquitoes (and super gross).
