There are several free magnifying glass apps for smartphones that work well and do double duty as a poor man's macro lens

Are you certain they are breeding and it isn't just more eggs hatching?

Re: Copper sulfate and snails

I feed leafy greens twice a week. I buy pre-washed organic spinach, kale or bok choi and wash it again in distilled water and freeze it for later use. In addition to the leaf litter I also occasionally place washed & boiled green leaves of the same trees as food. For commercial products I occasi...

Re: Copper sulfate and snails

Sad to hear about your rabbits - they are certainly fascinating to watch. What other freshwater snails did you lose? I don't feed anything that lists copper to mine. But I know people that feed peas to their inverts on a regular basis and they are high in copper. I keep leaf litter in all my tanks a...

You should always acclimatize when switching between fresh and brackish water. Longer acclimating periods are always better for the animal.

Re: Disappeared Snails? Floating moss ball?

That's pretty common for moss balls.

If you got you snails from Mustafa they like to burrow in the sand and may not be visible for days at a time

Re: Population density in the wild

There are several videos on YouTube that show them in in their native anchialine pools.I'll see if I can find any research papers on population density, but I would imagine aquariums densities can reach numbers never seen in the wild - constant stable environment & food plus no predators.
