Re: New tank here as well. Suggestions are welcomed :)
Currently, my water surface is a bit cloudy. Basically there are two groups of shrimps: many of those who love to swim at the water surface and those who dwell at the bottom and scrape through the gravel and surfaces. Those that are at the surface seems to be doing the same thing as those at the bot...

Hi all. Would have loved to do updates here with photos and all but i just keep having problems with the dimensions of the photos and they refuse to be uploaded. They are doing pretty well I must say and the newcomers are so much redder than the pioneers. Amazing creatures to watch! You can follow m...

Re: Happy news and call for advice
Congrats on the babies!! I'm still waiting for mine. A rental apartment would be preferred I think. The renovation would probably disturb them too much and you wouldn't be sure of the water quality during and post renovation too. Be very careful of the renovation. You had painstakingly set up the ta...

Yeah. Just to get more opinions and learn more from both communities
I find the people in both communities extremely helpful and welcoming So hopefully I can help someone else along the way too in future once I become more experienced

Introduced 45 of them in and they are happily grazing whatever food they can find them in the tank! This is really fun looking at them, especially when their colours are really so beautiful!
One even mounted inside the new tank while I see another exoskeleton in the bag they were in!

I see. Thanks for the info. Does it stresses them out very much when I try to catch a few of them to transfer for example?

Re: New tank here as well. Suggestions are welcomed :)
Shrimps have arrived earlier than expected! All healthy and red. Any tip on how to acclimate the shrimps? I have added some water from my tank into the bag they came from (added about 20% of the volume in the bag) and leave it overnight. The next day, I plan to mix some water from the bag back into ...

Re: New SuperShrimp Fan!
I'm really envious of the rocks you have got! The arrangement looks really good and I love the fact that it looks so much like a volcanic island and the marimo looks great on the rocks too! Would love to try something like that In terms of salinity, I think it's fine as long as it's around 1.01. If ...

Re: New tank here as well. Suggestions are welcomed :)
Hey Arquisto! The 4 of them are the pioneers from my first tank to migrate to this new tank (thinking to name the tank :p) to see if this tank is habitable. I have actually ordered about 40 shrimps which hopefully come in around next week. By then, if my pioneers are doing well, they will see a whol...

Day 2 of the pioneers
Only 2 of the 4 can be seen at all. Seems like they have found their hiding spots :p just hoping the other two are still kicking somewhere happily

I'm not sure if it's real or not actually. It feels light and breaks easily (brittle) if I tug at the slim branches a bit too hard. Hence, I think it's real.
