Re: Orange worm in tank

Unable to get a pic. It hides inside the rocks. Have only seen it once. Probably only comes out at night. Not sure exactly what it is.

Orange worm in tank

I just saw an orange centipede looking thing about 1 centimeter long crawling on a rock in my tank. He crawled inside the rock. I googled it and looks like a bristle worm. But not sure. Will this thing eat my shrimp?

I googled the algae. And from the images on the internet it looks exactly like cyanobacteria or red slime algae.

Re: red slime algae

Thanks for the input. I think the red algae is clearing up. I had a diatom bloom awhile back. I did nothing and it cleared up on its own. I have alot of copepods. And thats supposed to be a good sign. I read that shrimp and snails won't eat red algae. And its a saltwater algae. My salinity is kind o...

red slime algae

Have had a 29 gallon tank set up for 6 weeks. I have shrimp and snails in the tank. There is red slime algae growing all over the rocks. The shrimp and snails don't seem to be eating it. Is this something I should worry about? I have checked all my levels and everything seems fine.

Re: compatible fish

Ok thanks. I have a new tank setup. Just received the snails. No shrimp yet. Was surprised at how small the snails are. Will probably be surprised by the shrimp too. But excited to try this.

compatible fish

Are there any types of fish that can be added to my tank with the super shrimp and snails?
