I introduced 2 more shrimp into my tank. One of them looks like it’s playing dead....it swim to the surface of the water, flips itself over, & just lets itself float down. Is this normal?

A small film has formed across the top of my tank. It doesn’t have much of a color though. Is it algae??

What will the snails feed on if there’s currently no algae though? Or what should I feed them?

Besides not having a filter and turning lights on, how can I encourage algae growth?

Is there a way to encourage algae growth? Or to start it? I’m eager to get these shrimp in their new tank. Hehe!

Also, can I feed them ANY kind of fish food? I was at the pet store the other day, and I was completely overwhelmed by all the options that I ended up leaving without food.
