Hi all, recently I just noticed a few MTS have been crawling out of the water on to the glass of my tank. It's been running for a few years now and this has never happened before. I'm sure they were dead so I removed them. Any idea why this happened. Another completely unrelated question, I have thi...

Re: Macroalgae and some other questions
That's true. My only concern was the ammonia levels and they seem to be around zero for now, but thank you all.

Re: Macroalgae and some other questions
It's a 2.5 gallon and I think it's been almost 3 years since I've started it. I'd say there's 35-40 shrimp and and like 20 snails. Very rough estimate though. The last time I fed it was probably around 3 months ago and a total of 3 or 4 times before that. I fed one or two flakes of normal fish food ...

Re: Macroalgae and some other questions
Yeah that's what I was thinking about the minerals, they get reused. The calcium source is aragonite as the substrate and I'm pretty my lighting may have been too bright.

Re: Macroalgae and some other questions
That seems like a good idea but I don't want to mess anything up. Is that the only minerals get into the tank? I wonder what Mustafa would say

Re: Macroalgae and some other questions
Oh damn. How do you get more nutrients in there and if it's dead will it affect the amonia?
