You could probably find one on Amazon, you wouldn’t have to use the filter system & the heater.
I think Amazon.com would be the best place to find what you’re looking for.

Dropped eggs
I’ve noticed that one of my Opae has been dropping a few of her eggs.
I put them in a separate jar with water from the jar.
Can the eggs survive?
They have not changed colors but I’m just curious.

Re: Going back to Black Coral Sea fan
Wellllllll, since no one has responded to this post, I decided to get a fake coral sea fan. I’ve been letting it soak in distilled water for about 2 days now & will probably wait another 2 days before putting it in my 3gallon jar. I hope this is long enough to make sure my shrimps & babies d...

Going back to Black Coral Sea fan
I know, I know. Numerous people in this group have told me to get rid of the one I had before. BUT, I have noticed that tons of other tanks and jars have had their coral fans for years and they never affected their Opae Ula. I am going to put some lava rocks back in my set up but I’m also going to g...

Yes, I even noticed some of the white fuzz on top of some of the snails.

Re: What is this white fuzz?
I think I’ll just take the lava rocks out and replace them.
The white fuzzy stuff is spreading off the the lava rocks onto the substrate.
It just doesn’t look right to me at all.

Re: What is this white fuzz?
I don’t think it’s biofilm because biofilm is on the surface of the water. It almost looks like some kind of fungus BUT the shrimp are not eating it.
They walk all over it, they do not eat it at all.

Re: What is this white fuzz?
I tried to take a better picture of the white fuzz.
I still have no idea what it is or where it came from.
It’s hard to see but it is a white fuzz.

I think it’s biofilm, can you use a net to remove it?

Re: Opae'ula Shrimp
The same thing happened to me but they will be okay. I had a female just drop her berries and found 2 other females who also have berries.
I have a 3 gallon jar with a lot of Opae, you’re gonna love them.

From what I understand, tap water has minerals, chemicals and no salinity.

Re: Golden Opae Ula?
I’ve noticed that when my older Opae molt, they change to a pale white for about 1 day.
I’ve never heard of a golden Opae.
