Ok. What does buffering mean? Thanks!

Starting up a new tank and want to see if this is ok or not. It says suitable for brackish with buffering.

I've done it before it should be fine as long as whatever you're using isn't releasing anything into the water

Maybe a contaminant is in the water at low enough levels that adults are ok but babies are not? When I had contaminant enter my tank my smallest guys got sick first.

We have a second tank cycled already but are traveling a lot this summer so we'll likely wait for after school starts up again and we're settles but we're definitely gonna snag a few!

Yes. At first it seemed to be spreading but now it's not. Everything has been stable for a bit now so I'm assuming it's harmless.

It seems to be getting along just fine thankfully!

It actually looks like the eye is missing I have no idea what could have happened

Hmm how old is the set up? Could a contaminat have gotten in? What if anything have you fed them?

Currently he still has 1 white and seems to be doing just fine though I'll definitely update with any new info

There are like 3 other pebbles it's on in different areas of the tank. Doesn't look slimy to me.
