Hi, just wanted to know if basalt rocks are better than lava rocks. Do basalt rocks grow more algae than lava rocks? I know they're pretty much the same thing, but some say basalt rocks are a better choice.

What you have is the minimum size tank for them. Over 70 shrimp can be in a 1 gallon jar/tank. If you want a bigger tank I'd get a 2.5 gallon tank, or a 2 gallon cookie jar
