what species of shrimp would be suitable for a coldwater (not heated) tank. the tank allready has goldfish in it....

what i could recommend you is "the german yellow pages"

i see, maybe my translation was bad .... in dutch we call them 'bijengarnaal" (aha : just bee-shrimp?) anyway it's this one http://aquaworld.netfirms.com/Invertebrates/Caridina/Caridina_serrata5.jpg so breeding wil not be a problem, i presume.... i also have "japonicas" but i was told...

i used an old fan out of a refrigerator (frigo) this summer. lights out and heater turned of. lifted up the cover and got the fan blowing under the cover. worked well .... temp. dropped 2 °celcius in 1 hour. Also placed a circulation pump ricght under the fan, so water was always moving , and cooled...
