When I first got my tank I had a few algae do that that and they never came back so I removed them after a while because I didn't like the way they look. I think your light might be too bright, I had a light like that at first and it kept killing the algae.

I wouldn't add any more salt to the tank. All of the original salt is still in the tank and when you add water back it will return to the same levels it originally was

I set this tank up in November of 23', so a little over a year now and I still have at least 8 of my original shrimp, however two of them have always been translucent and are very rarely seen but the ones that are red do seem happy and are swimming around and eating most of the time.
