Well best wishes with the snails and hope things stablizes with the water. You can try to use R/O water from LFS or from a drinking water vending machine and add in what you need to it until the city stops doing what ever it is doing. Again I hope it works out. Thanks...It's been a recurring proble...

No I didn't know the ages. My water used to have a steady ph of 7.2, the city has been doing something to it since jan. (which is horribly screwing up my snail tanks), I tested it and apprently it's currently 6.0ph.. I'm tryin to raise it for the snail sake..

The top one was about 3 inches, and the bottom was a little less than 4, he was my biggest. I don't remeber any odd behaviour in the top one but the one that died last night and the one in the bottom photo both did the same aimless walking, out in the open, with no filtering. I noticed it yesterday ...

Heh, Yana has pale shrimp with orange eggs and I have orange shrimp with pale eggs. Mine also seems to be less full, but it could be because I took the pictures while she was "fanning" her eggs. Ah, didn't even realize there were more responces, my e-mail stopped getting messages, oops. A...

She moved so I could get a better view, shes fanning them sort of, moving them up and down. They're in little globs. Sorry I don't know the shrimp anatomy terms.

Anyone have a good link for the Amano method?

Bamboo shrimp w/eggs ??

I noticed my bamboo shrimp has these orange spots today, florescant little spots on it's body. Are they eggs? I know shrimp are hard to rear. If they are eggs is there anything I could do to try and raise them or is it pointless? I don't have aquarium salt to use for salinity (only kent iodine). htt...

Nothing official but I've been thinking that since I want to get another vampire shrimp anyways I'll try to see if it's feasilbe to get a 20g long to keep the shrimp in. It may take longer, I'm currently upgrading my fish in a 10g. to a 20 high as...
