Forgive my ignorance but when you say zooplanton you mean rotifers and copepods? I could probably grow these in the algae I am now growing. yes i do like that also.

my personnal opinion , is if you want breed shrimp , keep shrimp only .... of course you will always found people who say this X fish never touch my shrimp or shrimplet, but general rules is for breeding kkep only shrimp.

2 month is a rough estimate.
You will see if everything goes right, your tank getting lifes , and start get populated with all kind of interesting life, pods, algae, etc....

for me i would say buble are Not necessary.
