Thanks for the information guys. Maybe I'll try a normal LFS Brig and see how that goes.

Asolene Spixi, Any Comments?

I tried searching the name here, but didn't have much luck. I have limited experience with snails, only having a few oddball rams horn that were stowaways on live plants, some MTS, and a lone Olive Nerite I was lucky enough to find at a LFS(I've never found another). I was thinking of trying Asolene...

The "Gunk" makes me wonder about giving them used filter media to graze on. Or I could put a natural sponge inside of one of my HOB filters from another tank for a while. Hmmmm....

Neonshrimp that's my plan. I added my first sponge(a small one) to the shrimp tank a week ago and left my second sponge in a tank where I'm growing out some Synodontis Petricola. The first sponge the shrimp didn't seem to care one way or the other about. Today after a water change I'm adding the sec...

Those snails are beautiful Allex. I sure wish I could find something like that in my neck of the woods.

I know they were a bit pricey but it was an impulse buy when I saw them at the pet store and remembered this thread. Add in the safety factor and my general laziness and they got my money! Now its a waiting game while they get seeded and gunky and stuff.... :D

Congratulations on the babies! In my experience loaches are smart, fast, and always on the lookout for food. I have a trio of dwarf loaches(Sidthmunki-sorry if that's spelled wrong) and even at their small size they dominate my tank and terrorized some poor cory cats that I had to relocate. That's c...

This sponge thing is intersting. I just purchased 2 of them that were sold for hermit crabs to drink with and have them "soaking" in one of my fish only aquariums. The label said "All Natural" so hopefully if they aren't harmful to the shrimp's terrestial "cousins" they...

I have a female RCS carrying almost black eggs right now. She's been carrying them for 4 days now. I figured if they were "bad" she would've dropped them by now. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

The green shrimp are real eye catchers! I keep thinking how good they would look in a tank planted with all dark reddish plants and black substrate. Do you guys who keep them with RCS notice any interaction between the two?

The pieces were Malaysian and roughly 8"by8"(hard to give dimensions since they were nice and gnarly and branchy). I do have some non-leaching pieces(and they never leached from day one) in my bigger tank for my Snowball Pleco. I've had them for so many years I can't remember exactly what ...

I'm almost to the point of giving up on driftwood completely. I spent 60 bucks for 4 amazing looking pieces and soaked and boiled them off and on for 2 months and still the soak/boil water was jet black. I finally took them back to the store in disgust! The fake plastic stuff is looking better and b...
