Neocaridina sp. blue are pretty much blue versions of red cherry shrimp. They are frequently available in my area and are just as easy to keep as rcs. The only other blue colored shrimp I know of is Atya gabonensis aka vampire shrimp in which most are blue but some are cream colored... they do get q...

This shrimp should be kept in community tanks with small, peaceful fish and/or shrimp and sufficient current. This is preferable to a species tank as its tank mates produce the detritus necessary for the microorganisms in the filter to thrive and reproduce. The microorganisms, in turn, are carried ...

Put your lights on a timer, the algae will sustain them and the water quality won't decline very quickly because your not adding nutrients on a daily basis. Don't get an automatic feeder or one of those crappy vacation feeder blocks they will hurt your water quality... It would take a long time to s...

The poison gas myth is just that.. a myth. I have used standard home depot sand in all of my tanks for years and a 75/25 flourite/sand blend for planted tanks and have never had any reason to believe poison gas could build up and kill your livestock. I have never heard of anyone losing livestock bec...
