The "Strange Powder" is mostly calcium carbonate. It is not needed in many tanks in the US, and could be harmfull. The "source of micro-orginisims" is a powder based food ment to feed micro-orginisims and increase their numbers greatly. The shrimp then feed on these micro-orginisims.

I hardly ever see molts in my tanks either. The molted exoskeleton of shrimp is very high in calcium and the shrimp naturally crave that, so the eat the molt!

Well, the baby bee shrimp are about 2 weeks old. I spent a little time with my crappy camera and my shrimp and here are a few pics for everybody!

Bee shrimp are breeding fast
Well, I finally got my bee shrimp to reproduce and they are starting to do so rapidly. Here are the key tank parameters:
pH: 6.5-6.8
temp: 75
