I didn't want this to become a huge argument either, and I didn't expect so much controversy. I do think that there is room for competing opinions though, and hope that my last post doesn't get me kicked off the forums. I just felt like I needed to stick up for myself and explain what I was trying t...

I never claimed to be an expert. I'm definitely not. I also never claimed that I know more than anyone else on this site or that any of you don't know what you are talking about. Moreover, I never said that I have shrimp in a 2-liter bottle, nor did I say that I planned to do it. And the last thing ...

The guy I got my original cherry shrimp from is Vinnymac, and he wrote this article (http://www.plantedtank.net/articles/Cherry-Shrimp-Breeding-and-Care/23/) in which he says that you can keep 100-150 cherry shrimp in a 10 gallon tank with 30% weekly water changes. If that's the case, you should be ...

I don't think the comparison between a cupboard and a house is the same as a 2-liter bottle and something larger. For a few cherries, a whole 2-litter bottle with plants would be like a whole neighborhood. Of course, I don't know what kind of range various dwarf shrimp have in the wild. I would assu...

I was kind of assuming that SlvrStar7 really meant a 2 liter bottle. Not that an extra liter makes a huge difference, but it would to a cherry shrimp. I'm not sure I'd want to put a fish in there, but a few shrimp might be nice.

That sounds like a really neat idea. If you find instructions on how to do it, please post them.

The articles doesn't answer directly whether or not they can be kept with cherry shrimplets. I assume that if they don't bother their own babies when they have sufficient food, they would also leave the shrimp alone, but does anyone know if that's true?

Water hardness?

Also, what is the best water hardness for keeping these and inducing them to breed?

Will they eat shrimplets

Does anyone keep these with breeding cherry shrimp, or would they eat all of the shrimplets?
