Here is a copy of a fellow shrimp keeper's raking of shrimp. For the most part I have found this to be true. What do you think? Hardiness: 1. Cherry Red Shrimp 2. Amano 3. Bee 4. I think it depends on how many shrimp you have in the tank and if the filtration is good. I think that if there are only a few shrimp then bioload (waste) would be low and the need for water change would be less frequent. The shrimp can find enough food in the tank even if you do not have an automat...

you can also visit the "Shrimp Varieties" section and compare the shrimp to these pics of the true shrimps. And it is also a great way to learn about the different shrimps.

How can you tell if the shrimp eggs are fertilized?

Please let me know how you can tell if eggs are fertilized. Is there color, size or shape that will let you know?

I find my RCS pretty tame also. Whenever I put anything, including the gravel cleaner or net in the water they swim to and cling to it :shock: . Pretty neat :-D !

Thanks for that information.

I treated my tank with aquarium salt 1tbsp/5gallons and the ich no longer shows on my fish. afterwards I did a water change so that the salt concentration is diluted by fresh water.

P.S. what do vampire shrimp look like?

Thanks for the information, so do you think I should move the pregnant RCS or move the ghost shrimp? I also have amanos in the tank do they pose a threat?
