Re: Golden Bee Shrimp
I too would like to know. One thing I don't like about CRS/Golden Bee shrimp is that they tend to lose color as they grow, unless they have strong genetic factors and the right environmental conditions.

Re: Another Contaminant Species...
That tank is like a cracker jack box, a prize (or two) in every tank :D Also I may have missed my first berried Cardinal as I have found several newborn shrimplets in the tank over the last two days... Great news, we can deduce that there could have been some captive breeding since baby shrimp don't...

Re: Pics of my rescued OPAE ULA in a goldfish bowl
There are past post about feeding and how to make water with partial salanity (brackish/salt) with aquarium "sea" salt. I would keep the shrimp in the current water (don't throw it out) if you plan to move it, until you are ready to acclimate the shrimp to its new home. This will reduce st...

The alder cones are found in their natural habitat along the stress according to the article I read. It will be interesting to see if the applications are useful for our shrimp. ...

Re: Copper Toxicity
Copper is poisonous to invertibrates. There have been reports of acute toxicity where shrimp begin to twitch (convulse) and die and chronic signs of toxicity where the shrimp slowly stop there usual scavenging behaviour and die!

Re: CPO Breeding Problems
I have added cuttlebone to the tanks just to provide more calcium. The pH is at a steady 7.3 and the crays seem healthy so I won't be changing anything at this point. Thanks for the information.

Thanks for sharing the experience with us. So were there any die offs that you noticed during the time they were outside? Has the population grown with more berried females? I hope it goes well for you and please keep us updated.

Re: Baby Ghost Shrimp
Thank you for updating us on your young shrimp. Are they feeding and scavenging well? One of the things that I'm noticing about the adults is that they haven't seemed to molt yet. One of them has turned white and the others seem to be turning white too. Any idea whats going on? Clear shrimp that tur...
