hmm. My cherry shrimps never go darting around like that. About 80-90% of them just sit and graze, and the rest float around swimming gently. Are Amanos really different in the behavior than the cherry shrimps?

The baby cherry shrimps are hatching tonight. First saw two, then four, and then I lost count. I have four more berried females, and many more showing saddles. My 10 gallon aquarium will become pretty busy in a short while. :)

Ah, thanks for the clarification. So the air line is connected to the bottom of the sponge filter, and the rising air bubbles cause the water to be sucked in through the foam. Being a newbie and not having many friends with fishtank, I haven't seen such application. But it all makes sense now ...
