I tried some cucumber! I figured the inside would fall apart so I gave my crayfish a piece of peel. I stuck it by his hiding spot and he appears to have eaten it. I'm not too sure about tank size requirements for bamboo shrimp, but I have mine in a 20gal. One person has mentioned that my clown loach might be bad company for my bamboo shrimp.....so far I haven't had any problems and when I had ghost shrimp before the clown loach never bothered with them.
