dismalorb Out of the 6 I received. Onyl 1 is a true blue. One is almost white with blue highlights. 3 are brownish with bluish highlights. An 1 is just brown. They are still small, and I am still having a hard time sexing Crayfish. One day I would like to start, just breed The Blues together. Until...

Mustafa wrote: Hmmm..interesting. Well, you can give it a shot and try to selectively breed them to get a blue strain if you want. Then I can buy some of those blues back from you. :-D
No problem, man. I'm definitely going to try! I'll let you know once they start working their little crayfish magic. ;)

Can you post any pictures.

I'll try. They have ALOT of hiding spaces in the tank, so it makes it difficult to catch the right moment. I'll work on it though!

dismalorb I missed the end of the auction. I need a few more to fill the 125 gal that my other ones are in. Maybe the next generation will have more that are blue. John Yeah, me too. But I don't know if I would've paid more than my highest bid for it. Are you actually wanting true blue ones to star...

Honestly, I have never noticed any really blue crayfish in my tanks. If I noticed blue ones I would try to breed them selectively. Maybe you guys got lucky and the crayfish colored out after growing a bit. I think they are, Mustafa. I know that I have a good 10 or so out of all I've got from you th...

How many are in there now? Oh nice! What kind of project would this be? Breeding? Hybridizing? ;) I did add more Dwarf...

Dwarf crayfish are just like regular crayfish when it comes to mating, they will breed ... if she is going to drop eggs, she won't shed, if she doesn't then she will shed. I haven't found a steady pattern as to when they breed and when they will not. It seems its all up to the males, most females t...

That is a VERY impressive list! Wow. I'm very impressed with your collection. Ever consider C. Puer?

Do you have seperate tanks for each species? Are they all hooked into one system?
