Yes, I know. That's why I test and change water and regularly do a visual inspection.

Beeshrimp dragging food

I sometimes give my beeshrimp Tetra Plecowafer. 2 or 3 dropped in the water near the front of the tank always brings out a crowd. I did notice that the wafers tend to end up in different parts of the tank but I always put that down to the current in the tank. This morning I witnessed the real cause ...

I personally prefer the convencience of digital. I switched from a Nikon Film SLR to a digital SLR last year and am having more fun with my photography hobby than I've had in years. But, DSLRs are expensive. I could only do the switch because I had an insane amount of overtime being paid out all at ...

Depends on your location, if you're in the US there's excellent deals to be found on ebay. I just checked, there are no macro lenses listed at bargain prices at the moment. You could buy a raynox set for around $50 but you need to be able to get quite close to the shrimps for that to work. what kind...

N75 is a very decent film SLR so yes, that will be OK. The 28-80 came in three versions, old style D, new style D and the G-type. The latter can be easily distinguished because it lacks an aperture ring. It's a mediocre lens. The d-type lenses, especially the new style model, are excellent lenses. H...

From what I can remember from high school chemistry class aluminum doesn't dissolve much in water. But nylon would probably be the best option here.

To me it looks like the mesh they use in screen doors. That always looks like it's cotton dipped heavily in some sort of plastic.

1. Yes, should be

2. Not sure, never seen 'm in real live. Your shrimp are basically omnivours. If it's on the bottom and either dead or small and not putting up a struggle it's food. My bees have eaten live tubifex.

beeshrimp behaviour

OK, my beeshrimp collection is now at the recommended 10. And yes, everyone's right, I do see shrimp more often. It's also given me the chance to observe them better. Couple of things I noticed. - Food, whenever one has found a tasty tidbit such as a piece of flake that has made it to the bottom qui...

Don't you have any friends in temperate parts of the country? 20-30 leaves would easily fit in a padded envelope and will last a while.

B***! Yes, sorry, peat. I check two or three different forums a day, half in english, half in dutch, I do make the occasional mistake.

Back when I started my first tank in the 1980s it was very popular amongst the cichlid crowd.
