I too hope the prices drop but I am not in any hurry really because I just started with RCS. I think that is a wise move. You can learn to take care of the great RCS before raising the other more difficult shrimp :smt023 By the way you are doing a great job with your shrimp log, it helps get people...

Re: Cherry shrimp diet

Hi I am new here. Just got my first 10 cherry shrimp yesterday. They are doing good so far feeding on the algae etc. I was just wondering what you all feed your shrimp besides raw veggies. I have Wardley Algae Discs. Reading that they are sensitive to copper, I saw copper as one of the ingredients ...

(it is a tiny sponge used to clean filter equipment in hard to get spots but I dropped it in the tank and it is doing nicely). It is good to know that we can use nontoxic synthetic sponges. Thanks for the tip :D You are welcome, it was in the tank for about a week with the feeder guppies, pond snai...

Change your substrate to Fluorite and your plants will have all the iron they could even need without risking copper contamination. My most heavily planted tank looks fantastic and I never dose any ferts. My plants get only shrimp poop and whatever minerals they remove from the Fluorite. If I ever ...

I saw my tiny RCS grazing on a synthetic sponge I have in the tank (it is a tiny sponge used to clean filter equipment in hard to get spots but I dropped it in the tank and it is doing nicely). This good 8)

Hi, Im new here and this is my first post. I have read this whole thread and I had a theory on the sponges that were packaged in plastic and did not work in the shrimp tanks. Plastic leaches chemicals, especially if warm. If the sponges were put into the packaging when they were even slightly warm,...

Yes, Neon is right. This is not a place to post pretty pictures, even about shrimp. It is to discuss equipment and how to do stuff. If the pic demonstrates how to do something, or theperformance of one camera vs. another, just about anypic would be OK, but this isn't a gallery. I see your point, I ...

If you have bought Cherries two other times and both times they all died, why introduce them a third time? Maybe you should do a bit more research follow the other's advice and stop killing poor shrimp.
