Hi All, I have 2 x 2.5 gallon tanks with 30 shrimp in one and 40 shrimp in the other. Each tank also had 10 nerite snails for cycling purposes. The shrimp seem happy but have not reproduced yet. The snails on the other hand are going nuts. I now have at least 20 snails in each tank ... their popula...

Thanks for the pics. I am surprised by the amount of algae you have. Whenever My tanks had that much it never lasted long because the shrimp devoured it quickly.

But as I suspected, the 2nd female is again berried as well! But now I have a serious question... Is there concern about inbreeding with these shrimp? I mean, there's only 1 dad in the tank to all these babies. All the babies are direct siblings. If the babies start having babies with each other......

I think they are good for an overall balance to the tank. Try some Malaysian Trumpet Snails.

What type of snails are they? The trumpet snails reproduce like crazy as do many other types. You should be fine.
