Re: 3 Years - No Berried Shrimp - Any Suggestions?
It does look like there's enough food in there for the shrimp? I can see the waste in the gravel. Maybe check your parameters like salinity?

Re: Dust algae
Algae is great for the shrimp but egg shells are not needed in there.

Re: Something Jelly Appeared In My Tank
It's doing too good. I don't care for it anymore due to the fact that it grows too fast.

Re: Dust algae
Personally I would welcome the algae in there. It adds to the opaes diet. You should not keep a tank perfectly clean unless you feeding your shrimp which in turn will create more algae. It's all part of the cycle. You can't have one without the other. Just my 2 cents

I gotta call BS on successfully converting to FW. There's been studies done by Dr. Scott Santos that stated cannot survive in FW or full SW. Hypothetically speaking if this were possible these would be an ideal shrimp to keep in FW.

Re: Keeping Blue Leg Hermit Crab with shrimp
How is your tank set up? No filter? What are you going to feed it?

What about Petco. I believe that's where I bought all of mine. It's not listed on their website for some reason but they do have all the standard Aqueon brand.

Re: Snails
Can you see the Operculum? Usually once the MTS dies the Operculum quickly detaches.

Re: Will this food work?
I would agree as well. Vegetable or algae based foods I think would great but it's really on the initial start. If you continue to feed eventually you'll just pollute the water assuming you have no filter. All shrimp are scavengers and will eat anything. Just need to keep in mind what you're feeding...

Re: Keeping shrimp without macroalgae?
Where did the macroalgae come from? If I were to guess maybe you have a saltwater species?

Re: New Tank & Algae After 7 Days
It is strange. Salinity is at 1.012 but it doesn't do well in all of my tanks. Some tanks it's growing great some not so much. I do see the leaves die, melt & turn clear. Definitely not meant for a brackish tank.

Re: New MTS not moving much?
They do like to bury themselves from time to time & can go dormant for a few days. If you're wondering it it's alive check. If the Operculum is still intact it's fine. Usually it detaches quickly ones it dies.
