I think your tank is ready. Due to the macroalgae competing with the biofilm, you may not see much visible algae, but I think you're good to go. And, yes, snails can move around during the day, too. Surface biofilm, harmless, and eventually the shrimp and snails eat it. Is the shell your calcium source? I would add another calcium source such as a small piece or two of cuttlefish bone. The stuff used for birds.

Photo? If it is coming back that quickly then I doubt it is the macroalgae that Mustafa sells. I could be wrong, though.The tanks must have alot of nutrients for algae to grow that quickly.
