Re: The Opae Ula Palace
Looks great. I guaranty the opae will go in the holes. In both my 3 & 6 gal. cubes the majority of the opae are in the back. In mine I have lots of lava rock. 40 is a good amount to start out with. Can't wait to see the picks of the opae in there.

Re: How to add supershrimp
Definitely agree with Varanus. I made the mistake of using live sand. I did not clean it which caused all kinds of issues I believe. Lots of dead organic matter which caused major hair and slime algae blooms.

Re: My Orange Opae Ula
The deep red color of opae is has to do with where they are from. Nothing to do with the diet or tank.

Re: Topping off with treated tap water?
I believe there are still impurities in the tap water that you would not want to introduce into your tank. Yes you can treat it but you're only removing the chlorine.

Re: Over Populated Snails
I had major hair algae on my sea fan. Tried to remove it by hand but it came back. Ended up taking it out. Maybe I'll put it back in but it needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

Re: My 3 Gallon Nano
I see baby opae from time to time. I have no idea what happens to them. They only stay around for a few days then disappear. Not sure it they died or survived. I've seen only a few that look like they made it through to young juveniles. I do see berried females throughout the tank.
