That looks very similar to the algae I have in my 10 gallon tank. Mine has been set up for almost 2 years and I've never fed them anything. I'd ease up on the air bubbles as they really aren't necessary. Also, do you have a source of calcium to buffer the water? Aragonite, crushed egg shell, a chunk of cuttle bone, all will work. Room temp is fine.
