Looks nice!

As long as you have males and females in there, and they're healthy, you should get babies soon. I don't see any fish in there, so I assume it's a shrimp-only tank. The babies are very small and tend to hide, so maybe you just haven't seen them, but they're there. :)

If you have been medicating the tank for the fish, you will need to be very careful that all the medication has been removed from the tank, as that's more likely to kill the shrimp than the fish disease.

I have cherries in a tank with male Endlers, and the population is slowly increasing. The Endlers do pick most of the babies off, but some survive. The breeding certainly won't be as fast as in a shrimp-only tank. You should make sure you have dense plants like java moss, riccia or hornwort in which...

I've had shrimp in a tank heavily planted with crypts and a few anubias with no apparent problems (tank has been up for 6 months now).

Would it be possible to use a divider in your tank to separate the shrimp? Maybe that would help cut down maintenance.

You're definitely going to have your hands full with two small children, but it's nice to keep an "adult" hobby to help with your sanity :)

Oh... I meant if you could find the shrimp. If you can't see them, it's hard to catch them ;)

I usually get my turkey basters at the 99 cents store, I have a whole bunch of them, both full-size and the mini ones (which are great for feeding frozen foods, and picking up baby shrimp).

I've had planaria in my cherry shrimp tank for about 6 months, with no apparent problems with the shrimp.

Some day I'll get around to baiting them out and reducing feeding to starve them off.

Wow, what a complete idiot to ship something that way. Poor shrimp. :(

I hope you got a refund, at least.

Maybe some kind of baited trap would get some out, with a small container with a hole in the lid and some food in it.

A turkey baster works great, as long as you can find them ;)

I can tell you that putting shrimp eggs in a glass of tank water doesn't work. I had a female moult while pregnant and leave some eggs in the old exoskeleton. I put them in a jar of water, just in case... but it didn't work. I'm not surprised, but I just thought I'd share so you can rule it ou...

I think the Biorbs are very expensive for what they are. I looked at one in a store a few months ago, and it didn't seem to be high enough quality to justify the price. And, as others said, the setup isn't the best thing for either fish or shrimp. If you like the all-in-one tanks, there are plenty o...

The foods you're using sound fine, although you should check the ingredients for copper sulfate, which is poisonous to shrimp. A variety of foods is good for shrimp. The yellow patches are the females' ovaries, and means they're getting ready to breed. The males are usually a paler red than the fema...

If you're talking about the yellowish patch on the shrimp in the center, those are her ovaries.

Plants need to be slowly acclimated to brackish water. More info here: http://www.pufferfish.co.uk/aquaria/plants/conditio.htm

Hornwort, java moss and java fern, as well as several others will tolerate brackish conditions.
